well.. not in the major way..
I'm blogging now.. starting today.. I have finally found the one. The blog space for me.. finally after months of searching.. (passively). My new phone has led me to it.. and I thank God. It's really packed with things that I want. Incredibly customizable. It's 1.30 am and I'm not in bed yet.. I'm kinda excited really hehe... I shud hit the sack like.. right now but not before this

Cameron Trip #? - I dun keep track anymore

Here's where we stayed at. Totally recommended.
We were there with friends. Despite having packed our bags we didn't plan to stay overnight but since our friends have insisted.. in the end we caved in. So, for the first time we both spent the night up in cameron and it turned out to be a really good relaxing weekend, with great company and good food.
Here's a tip.. to get cheap fresh strawberries, make your way to the pasar tani on a Sunday at around 12 noon to 1-ish, when the stalls are closing, u'll be able to get ur self a really good deal. RM10 for 1kg+. Enough strawberries to last you for a week.. in my case.. for a day  . Prepacked vege - RM10 for 15 packs. 15! So now you know.
I also recommend T cafe, very close to Marrybrown for good local and western dishes. I dun fancy the scones though, hands down, Old Smokehouse still #1 in my heart (for scones lah).. heheh

there are things worth mentioning but I'm just too knackered although the first month of 2008 had witnessed events enough to fill up the rest of the year... hmm.. i guess ill just leave it at that
*Afya's passport photo is sooo cute but being an absent-minded mother of only 1, it didn't occur to me to ask for a digital copy. Way to go tech girl...

this is like... 1% of Afya's pictures in my hard disk... i think if anybody even attempt to browse all photos in my tablet would probably be sick of her photos before getting to day 2.
Anyways, brought Afya and my Minolta 50mm jalan2 during xmas. Sempat amik few shots before it started drizzling. Hmm... taking photos of kids using manual focus can be rather challenging. Patience is the key. Kenot cepat frustrated (like someone I know... *ngeeee* )
This fotopages is slowly but surely becoming Afya's fotopage. Yay!!
.... maybe I should start a blog? (I do already have a blog but I haven't properly blogged yet... macam malas je...)

got back from pasar kota, taiping. had to get some seafood for the new yr's eve bbq party we missed last year. went shooting at lake garden again.. nanti lah esok2 taruk gambar banyak2
exactly 6m and 10d ago the little b.f.t. was born and ever since then this house has never been merrier. Looking and mates' blogs n fotopages, those with little ones they always update their milestones and their growth and whatever. makes me feel rather inadequate. I just dun wanna spend my free time doing all that u know. but since it has been 6 months and i guess i'm now finally getting used to motherhood *laugh cynically at self* maybe it's time that i should at least jot down a few things. I know some of my viewers and I know a lot of them want to read more about Afya rather than reading about me.. *sobs* there goes the limelight..
* she can sit unsupported now.. although will fall if terry huff and puff her from the side. if no one even breathes around her.. yeah.. she can sit for quite a while.
* she's on all fours and rocking and launching and end up with good ol' face plant on padded mattress. (seb baik padded, kalau atas marble floor.. surely that'll leave a mark)
* she knows not to attempt launching off on marble floor. when tired, she will roll onto her back ever so gently as not to hurt herself.. clever girl...
* while playing all on her own, sometime she'll glance at me all looking lovestruck, ur such an awesome mom, ur incredibly beautiful and funny too
* when mad her face will be all red and square and like why r u still not picking me up, do you even know what ur doing, what kind of mother are u? *gasp*
* she gives kisses on cheek and lately... with some tongue action for extra sloppiness
* she calls me ma or mama when majorly upset. and calls terry ba. other vocab includes, ta, bla, pa, chi, dey, ngeh, and of course phhbbbtttt!
* she'll look away when she's shy with that silly little smile
* she scoots really fast now
* she's eating solids (if u consider semi-liquid mush as solid...) at least twice a day.
* she eats with us.. sits nicely on her booster at home or on a highchair in restaurants
* she has started drinking from sippy cups and sometimes cups thus skipping the bottle phase completely
* she has teeth!
really what a joy to have her around. Usually it's me and a lappie, a ps2 occasionally, elliot and the pet goldfish or guppie or whatever's still surviving in the cursed aquarium at that time when terry's at work. certainly it's not all games and play... there are a few things which i won't say bothersome.. cause they're making me really close to her so i shall call them mere inconvenience which i think is worth sharing...
* she duzn take bottle nor pacifier hence i have no choice of letting others feed her so i can take a break.. this was a huge problem before when she wants nursing CONSTANTLY.. now nursing just seems like a breeze.. takyah sterilize.. takyah cari dummie.. takyah bancuh membancuh.. takyah angkut dapur merata2 bila travelling.. bliss
* she naps on the bed... I'm so paranoid she might fall i have to check on her every second. I'm even afraid to go pee.
* sometimes she nap nurse... i.e. gantung... sometimes too kesian to pull it out coz she'll be like searching for it so i nap with her (what else can i do?) and i become tired from sleeping too much 
* i have to force her to eat solids... she really dun like em unless the food is salted or sugar sweet.. good luck getting her to finish her vegetables later on.
* when we go all firm and garang and say NO! she thinks it's funny.
* diaper change is a battle field.
Weighing at 8kilos, almost 70cm in length, last weekend mum was rather ambitious wanted to take her for a walk around the garden. less than 3 mins later she came back 'ambiklah.. aku tak larat dah'

initially we planned to have our last vacation of the year in damai laut or some beach resort.. dah siap bli swim nappy and children floats lagi. Unfortunately we ran out of weekends/time to go and we already promised ourselves that we'd never miss the big reunion so we decided to stay in the city instead and chose to stay at marriot. We were lucky enough to get a room sebab ritz carlton dah penuh.. apparently there's some black tie event in starhill on saturday night.
Well.. marriot is ok.. wasn't entirely satisfied tapi we were happy with the room.. sempit skit tapi ok lah.. broadband dia slow nak mampus... baby cot, so far the most complete... then masa breakfast waitress tlg pegang afya and we get to eat heheheh... kiddie pool is so sejuk ok.. kesian giler kat afya, i feel that she must have not enjoyed the dip very much coz i myself pun shivering like what.. imagine how the little one would have been. Must be the weather too.. mendung aje.. Although if the water panas skit.. i do think she's ok with splashing in the pool so I'm gonna take her swimming again sometime soon. Another good thing about staying there is that we get to check out at 6pm. So lepas the reunion kat taman tu.. dengan panas n peluh, sempat la chill and take a nap before driving home. The only thing that bothered us was that after checking out, it took 15 mins to get our parking ticket validated and the valet cost 20 bucks.. demm.
The highlight of the trip.. buffet dinner at Jogoya. On our way back to Ipoh we simply couldn't stop thinking and talking about the food there. Fresh seafood, quality stuff, amazing presentation, and the mochi... OMG the mochi is so sedap.. if only there's mochi ala carte... if only... ooo.. and the haagen dasz.. and baskin robbins.. and soft shell crab.. all u can eat. even Afya had her share, we let her have some air kelapa and some century egg porridge.. porridge je la.. and she luvs it! Gosh.. I really can't stop thinking about the oysters.. we are so gonna go there again.. at the rate i'm eating.. I just have to stop whining about my weight.. u eat lots u gain lots la duhh
I'll be editing the reunion photos tonight. Afya's already in bed so i guess i'll be sacrificing my ME time just to upload the photos.. 200+ of them! and because the reunion went sooooo much better than what i'd expected, it'd be my honour to do it!

I'm so not in the babyfood making mood.. so farley rusks campur breastmilk je lah...  .. maybe try avocado today.. the leftovers bleh buat guacamole so i guess we're having nachos n chili tonight!
Ingan nak postpone celebration since hubby has exams the whole week. Had my birthday dinner anyways in Indulgence, kononnye the posh-est place in town la but damn bad reviews macam2. Anyways I luved the mocha meringue.. dinner was so-so. Afya joined us coz let's face it, to say that she depends on me is only partly true. The truth is now I'm kinda tied to her.. separation anxiety actually goes both ways.. haha! Of course halfway through dinner 7ish is her bedtime and she becomes really cranky and i had to breastfeed her there n then. In an upscale restaurant.. seb baik kat ipoh orang2 nye open to attachment parenting sket so selamba lah.. *grins*!! I guess our definition of romantic dinner will always be eating home-cooked gourmet with Afya sleeping soundly in her crib. The best thing about it is that we can have dinner in our pjs  I LIKE!
My favourite birthday gift so far is that extra sloppy intentional birthday kiss that Afya planted on my cheek.. yes the one that made me blush
am really looking forward to the reunion next weekend. r u gonna be there?
